Google versus Yellow Pages

Just been reading a survery conducted by a SEO company over in Melbourne last year.

They hit the streets and asked the public wether they used the phone book or Google to find local businesses. Here's the main results.

Q2. How do you search for products and services you’re looking for?

  • 92.86% use Google.com
  • 7.14% use Yellow Pages

Not very positive!

And the next question...

Q3. How often do you use Google?

  • 100% use Google.com everyday

They only surveyed 50 people, which is not super high, but enough to give a very good idea of the direction we're going in.
